How to take screenshot on laptop, windows and mac?

Using Snipping Tool:
Let's start with Windows. To take a screenshot on a Windows laptop, you can use the built-in Snipping Tool. To open the Snipping Tool, press the Windows key and the letter S at the same time, and then type "Snipping Tool" in the search box. Click on the program to open it.
Once the Snipping Tool is open, you'll see three different options for taking a screenshot: Free-form Snip, Rectangular Snip, and Window Snip.
Free-form Snip:
The Free-form Snip allows you to select any shape you want by drawing a line around the area you want to capture. The Rectangular Snip lets you select a rectangular area, and the Window Snip allows you to select a specific window on your screen.
After you have selected the area you want to capture, click the save icon. This will save the screenshot to your hard drive.
On mac:
Let's move on to macOS. On a Mac, you can take a screenshot by pressing the Command, Shift and number 3 key at the same time. This will take a screenshot of the entire screen, which will be automatically saved to your desktop as a .png file.

If you want to take a screenshot of a specific area, press the Command, Shift and number 4 key at the same time. Then, you can use your mouse to select the area you want to capture. Once you have selected the area, release the mouse button and the screenshot will be saved to your desktop.

Finally, if you want to take a screenshot of a specific window, press the Command, Shift and number 4 key, and then press the spacebar. This will change your cursor to a camera. Move the camera over the window you want to capture and click on it. The screenshot will be saved to your desktop.

Additionally, in Windows, you can also use the Print Screen key to take a screenshot. Simply press the Print Screen key (also abbreviated as PrtScn) on your keyboard, and a screenshot of your entire screen will be copied to your clipboard. You can then paste it into a photo editing program like Paint or Photoshop to save it.

Another way to take a screenshot on a Windows laptop is by using keyboard shortcuts. Pressing the Windows key and the Print Screen key at the same time will also save a screenshot of your entire screen to the “Screenshots” folder in the “Pictures” folder on your laptop.

On Mac, you also have another option for taking a screenshot, is using the built-in Grab app. You can open it by searching for “Grab” in Spotlight or by looking in your Applications folder in Finder. Once it’s open, you can use the app to take screenshots of specific windows or menus, set a timer for a screenshot, or even capture a selected portion of your screen.

Another way to take screenshots on a Mac is with third-party apps such as Lightshot, Awesome screenshot and Skitch, These apps offer more advanced screenshot capabilities such as annotation, sharing, and editing options.
How to find saved ss:
You can also find the screenshots that you've taken on Windows by searching for “Screenshots” in the search bar, you will see all the screenshots saved in the Screenshots folder in the Pictures folder.
On Mac, screenshots are saved automatically on the desktop with a name starting with “Screen Shot” followed by the date and time.
